OUR STORYTELLING PROCESS

A CASE STUDY ON OUR COLLABORATION WITH LONE COYOTE ADORNMENTS

WHO

Artisan Jewel Leiby is the heart behind Lone Coyote Adornments. Taking inspiration from her adventurous western lifestyle, she creates high quality, hand crafted jewelry.

WHAT

Young woman standing and smiling in front of a vintage pickup truck with a wooden camper shell in a forested area.
Her passion and care-free lifestyle is the real deal and we wanted to tell her story in a way that tangibly conveys this to a large audience. We wanted to showcase both the art and the artist in a single, succinct story.

We proposed:
- a Hero 3-4 min Brand Promo
- a package of Macro Videos for Socials & Merchandising

A still frame from a brand promo: Close-up of a teardrop-shaped blue gemstone pendant set in silver on a textured brown fabric background.
HOME BASE
A still frame from a Lancaster video production: Side profile of a young woman wearing hand made jewelry.
A still frame from a marketing video: Hand holding a needle with thread near small glass jars filled with colorful beads on a table.

HOW AND WHY

2 SHOOTS + 1 POST-PRODUCTION PIPELINE

DIRECTING

Pleasant and stress-free shoots are a core pillar at Steadfast. We believe in maintaining a low-pressure process, where interviews are easy yet insightful, and everyone feels comfortable to be themselves. This creates sincerity in your video - not to mention it's just more fun, too.

CINEMATOGRAPHY

In many ways, we lit each scene like we would for a short doc - simple, wide, flattering light that allowed us to move around freely following every step of Jewel’s careful process.

aRT DIRECTION

Tools, jewelry, and the space were organized and adjusted, but we didn’t want anything to feel artificial, and strived for naturalism - just the right amount of real world asymmetry for authenticity.

COLOR & CONTRAST

Vibrance starts with contrast. Indoors, we shot the silver smithing in very warm tones while the beadweaving was a soft white. Outside, the red hues of sunset pop all the more when contrasted to the dark blue sky of dusk.

HOME BASE
A still frame from a lifestyle video shoot: Group of people around a campfire at night, one person playing guitar while others roast marshmallows.
Product videography: Various polished gemstones and minerals arranged on white cards on a wooden table with warm lighting.

POST-PRODUCTION

A meticulous and rewarding process. A 45 min interview, B-Roll, sound effects, music, and color grade are woven together in symphony to tell one complete story.

Our North Star is the truth in your story. We’ve found that if every moment of every second is aligned to that North Star, your video is not just more trustworthy, but more compelling, uniquely creative, and connects with the audience on a deeper level.
Complex video editing timeline with multiple video and audio tracks showing color-coded clips and waveform details.
Our methods are always adapting becase no one story is the same. We design, direct, and edit, but every decision is guided by authenticity - choosing not to rely on fakery but present the truth in a compelling, personable way, to therefore achieve genuine impact.
